What I found out about printing materials

Prices

4x6 inch cards (12-pound card stock, whatever this may mean):

• 1000 - $120
• 2000 - $140

business cards (14-pound, laminated, matte, this was the recommended format):

• 1000 - $60
• 2000 - $55

business cards (12-pound, non-laminated, glossy):

• 1000 - $50
• 2000 - $45

Conditions

• All artwork submitted must have a bleed, i.e. artwork extending beyond the dimensions of the final product. So that if you're ordering 4x6in. flyers, the artwork must have 4.25x6.25in. as its dimensions.

• They accept JPEG, EPS, TIFF.

• CMYK (of course)

• Resolution must be at least 300dpi to guarantee good quality of final product.

• Timeline: in order to get the product delivered to you on a Friday, you must send in the artwork at least before 17:00 on Wednesday that same week. Pretty quick. More time for stuff that's more complex (folded leaflets, brochures, pamphlets, etc.).
