Meeting began at 14:00
- 1405 Literary Identity
- Discussion revolved around the belief that their identities were stolen and incorporated into novels and television shows. There was some discussion of legal actions that could be taken and what research needed to be done so they could regain identity, and allow its use to be creative commons.
- Business arising - determine appropriate creative commons license to apply
- Business arising - determine what legal steps to take to ensure it is followed
- Janet Underwood - go through various creative commons licenses and create a short list of 3 most appropriate by 2011-01-31
- Sam Carter - speak with identity lawyer and prepare a brief summary by 2011-01-31
- John Danvers - speak with copyright lawyer and prepare a brief summary by 2011-01-31
- 1500 Local Electoral Candidate
- Several members have put their names forward to become candidates for the riding. The members attending the meeting were given the opportunity to give brief 5-minute speeches. Discussion followed about whether there would be time to pose some questions to the candidates.
- John Doe moved that "At the 2011-01-31 meeting, there shall be a 20 minute period, during which each member assembled may ask the candidates a single question and each candidate will be allowed one minute, uninterrupted, to state their position on the question."
- Vote held - Yays 4, Nays 1, Abs 0
