Job Title: Poll Monitors

Responsible To:

  • Local Riding Association Volunteer Coordinator (if available)
  • Local Riding Association Chair (if available)
  • Shawn Gray OCT, Federal Volunteer Coordinator
  • Local Candidate

Position Summary: To monitor polling stations on election day and report poll’s results to the Local Candidate & Federal Volunteer Coordinator

Duties:

  • Monitor polling station
  • Call Local Candidate with polling station’s results
  • E-mail Federal Volunteer Coordinator with polling station’s results

Qualifications:

  • Basic Communication Skills

Time Commitment:

  • Election Day, final 3 hours of polling

Comments:

  • Bring a book to keep you amused during wait time
  • Party paraphernalia is not permitted within polling stations
  • Responsible for own access to telephone and internet for reporting of results
